Stock_Predictor

A Python-based model predicting short-term price action on FTSE 100 tickers using historical volatility and momentum signals. My first serious merge of finance + code.

[01]/ Problem

Retail investors don't have the same predictive tooling as institutions. I want to know how close I can get with open data and a teenager's budget (zero).

[02]/ Approach

Pull historical OHLCV data, engineer momentum and volatility features, train a small LSTM to forecast next-day directional bias. Currently iterating on feature selection.

[03]/ Status

v0.3 — backtest harness working. Next: integrate news-sentiment as a feature.
